banner

Theme: To deliberate upon the following:

A major international breakthrough on Kashmir Conflict occurred this year, when UN ended decades of silence and asked India to accept an international probe into human rights violations in the disputed region. The depth and content of UN Kashmir report shocked India and the international community. Kashmir conflict was technically never forgotten: It remains an active item on the agenda of UN. But the report of Office of the high commissioner for human rights (OHCHR) has lent new urgency to this conflict, and has consequences for India’s role as member of the international community. So, what are India’s options now and what’s the responsibility of the government of Pakistan, Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the Kashmiri activists to take this report forward.
