Highlights:

Key Points raised by Khalid Mehmood MP :

Indian occupied Kashmir (IOK) has been under a strict lockdown for almost a year now by the Indian armed forces.

Key points raised by Duke Salman Khan :

Appeal for the International Islamic countries to unite and take India to the international criminal court for depriving Kashmiris of basic human rights.

Are the United nations relevant in todays date or we need to create a parallel structure to move forward for global basic rights?

We need united kashmiri people behind one cause which is the Kashmiri movement.

The shahadat of Burhan Wani on the 8 July 2016 was the turning point in the history of Kashmir in recent years.

The followers of Burhan Wani made a huge cry on social media platforms which put India under a spotlight and immense pressure.

USA president Trump offered to mediate the issue of Kashmir between Pakistan and India, but India declined the offer.

Key points raised by Pervez Ahmed Shah:

1 doctor for every 69000 Kashmiris and 1 ventilator for every 80000 Kashmiris in IOK to treat during this pandemic.

Key Points raised by Ms. Claire Bidwell :

Majority of the general population in the west have learned about the Kashmir issue only recently after the lockdown of IOK.

Many world governments are staying quiet and silently supporting Modi’s actions in IOK.

Key country members that hold the main positions in the United Nations should be held equally responsible as India for the atrocities in IOK.

Create as much awareness as possible through social media platforms.

Key points raised by Hassan Ashraf :

Internet is a basic human requirement to survive in the modern digital economies and the IOK Kashmiris are being deprived of it.

People need the internet to order groceries, contact the doctor online as leaving your home in the pandemic in a public place is highly not recommended.

No access to internet in this pandemic is a path towards mental health issues.

No access to internet is a violation of freedom of expression and freedom of speech for the Kashmiris in IOK.

Key points raised by Syed Faiz Naqshbandi :

Covid 19 pandemic is further used by the Indian Government to silence the freedom of expression and freedom of speech of the Kashmiris in IOK.

Indian government has used Covid 19 as an excuse to extend its illegal lockdown under false protest whereas it has used this pandemic to intensify its atrocities against the Kashmiris in IOK.

Article 49 subclass 6 of the 4th Geneva Convention clearly states that the occupation powers cannot alter or change the status or the demographics of the Kashmir area. If the occupying power tries to change it, these will amount to war crimes under article 146 and 147 of the 4th Geneva Convention.
