A major international breakthrough on Kashmir Conflict occurred this year, when UN ended decades of silence and asked India to accept an international probe into human rights violations in the disputed region. The depth and content of UN Kashmir report shocked India and the international community. Kashmir conflict was technically never forgotten: It remains an active item on the agenda of UN.
